One of the most important parts of caring for your kitten(s) is to provide them with the best quality food possible. Some kitties can be super picky, so you may need to try different brands, consistencies, and types of food until you find something that your kitty likes to eat. Some of my favorite brands of kitten food are:
Royal Canin Mother & Babycat wet food (up to 4 months old)
Royal Canin Kitten wet and dry food (4-12 months)
Blue Buffalo Healthy Gourmet Kitten wet food**
Blue Buffalo Healthy Growth Kitten dry food
Instinct Original Kitten wet and dry food
Wellness Natural Kitten wet food
Purina Pro Plan Kitten wet food
Another important part of feeding is: How Often. You don't want to feed a kitten just one large meal per day; it's better to feed them 3-4 smaller meals throughout the day, which will be easier on their tummies and give less of a chance for an upset digestive tract.
It's a good idea to have separate bowls or plates for each one of your cats or kittens, especially when feeding wet food. That way they each get their own portion, and are not having to fight to get enough to eat or eating more than their share. Feed as much as your kitten can eat in one sitting, and remove any uneaten food promptly. It's also a good idea to follow the feeding instructions on the can, because different brands will suggest different amounts based on calorie content.
**This is the food I feed most to kittens in my care.
